Woke up from a dream which wasn't about drawing at all (about nearly being walked in on while masturbating in the living room, and taking off to my room to fake sleep), and while lying in bed a few minutes later had a pretty solid revelation about how to draw feet, of all things (I don't *think* I'd been masturbating while thinking about foot jobs, in the dream).

Got up, used toilet, thumbnailed digitigrade and plantigrade feet. This works!

so I started ranting about journalistic double standards and cowardice over on birdsite and damn, the last time I was that angry at someone I was trying to get them to fire me.

I guess Mike Ploog got me thinking more about tacking in more interesting shadows and “shape welding.” Danheim got me thinking more about Vikings tho. #drawings

Also... if you're gonna sell a movie on nostalgia, why not *sell nostalgia*, and have the soundtrack be Echo and the Bunnymen and Tears for Fears and stuff? They like blew their licensing budget on being able to have Rubik the Amazing Cube charge in with the Shirt Tails (let me guess; this doesn't happen either) so they can't have "Nasty" blasting during battle sequences or whatever.

Okay so my experience of the 80s was hugely tied up in roleplaying games and anything related. I'm willing to put money RPO doesn't have a single reference to Twilight 2000, Ladyhawke, or Snarfquest.

My experience also included a lot of bullying, which apparently the hero is a complete misfit at his school, but it's not like he has to get into slugging matches with halfbacks or whatevs.

Pissed off at my housemates again. I think avoiding “home” and getting something to eat is the best way to avoid snapping at them. If I had the money I’d move north; maybe I just need to start a GoFundMe.

Like if it were my game I’d want three alignment related splat books; a forces of evil thing which would be largely intended for DMs, a much smaller good book which would be vaguely a player resource, and the biggest would be a general all purpose adventurer book (vaguely like Xanathar’s Guide or all the awesome 3e class splat books).

The way I want to do it; alignment exists and nearly everyone’s neutral. Dwarves, gnolls, humans, etc are all basically okay people until they get pissed off, want something, or are culturally blind.

Evil and good are reserved for demons, unicorns, rakshasas, stuff so completely unworldly they don’t work by normal standards, and a few outliers like paladins or necromancers who choose to be really unusual (and their rewards and penalties are player or DM widgets).

I see alignment as a holdover of wargaming. My evil army can include gnolls, kobolds *and* neutal human mercenaries. Your good army can have elves, kirin and other neutral mercs. Put ‘em on the table and start rolling dice.

But on the personal scale of RPGs it falls apart. The idea that you can scythe through entire groups of EVIL groups and remain GOOD is ethically repellent to me, and really makes the game hugely about combat.

I like the idea of a trans related holiday that isn’t about just being a victim. And obviously now with a government bent on culturally if not literally disappearing Queers, simple acknowledgement is vital.

I still kinda wish this were more all purpose, kinda feel the visibility of hey people are trans sometimes (and it’s something to celebrate, as Americans won’t be in survival mode forever) gets caught up in the ideal of being out, which not everyone can really do, y’know?

The guy revving his Harley, then taking off top speed down the street, blasting romance themed R&B? Looked like the exact midpoint of my stereotypes for “revving Harley, then taking off top speed down the street” and “blasting romance themed R&B.”

and the body image issues are nuts today. If I could heat water with all the energy going into beating on myself for being ugly and a shitty artist, I'd at least have a nice cuppa.

I am awake after a nightmare about having a major self-hating meltdown/panic attack, with screaming and punching myself, in front of a batch of people. Which somehow became some sort of Wild West ambush scenario with Colt Army revolvers and everything. The hell, subconscious?
