I had to get DDR3 ram for this motherboard and I won't be able to use DDR4 on it either I don't think, so that would require a new mobo as well. and probably a new chip. More money than I have ever available. ^^;

Computers are expensive D: But they're so necessary today and just getting a "cheap" one is often a false economy :(

Mine was a hand-me-down from my other half. ^^; He upgraded to the next model up, I got his old chip. had to buy a motherboard though c_c;

I will say it's still holding up now several years later exceptionally well?? certainly way better than my AMD did previously but yeah

intel CPUs alone are... daunting, to say the least, price wise.
