Albuquerque local restaurants, questioning people's tastes
@starkatt There's a similar situation in our city. There's a Mexican-esque fast food place called Taco Casa here that has the dubious honor of being even lower-quality than _Taco Bell_, (when we went there once, they served us a burrito still in a plastic wrapper, freshly microwaved) and yet locals say it's their favorite mexican place. There's a better restaurant, that serves much more actually-Mexican food, literally right next door.

Interesting. Apparently, the canonical pronunciation of the name of the hero of the Ys series (that was a lot of 'of the's) has changed; in the NEC Turbo CD version of Ys I and II, it's pronounced /eidɔɫ/, whereas in Memories of Celceta, the PS Vita version of Ys IV, it's pronounced /ædɔɫ/.
Today we learned that the Turbografx/PC Engine series of video game consoles had a switch on the controller for each face button, that turned on a turbo mode where, like third-party controllers for other systems, a button press would be fired repeatedly while the button is held down.
We've never heard of this being on any system's official controller before, so that's pretty interesting!
I want to see the word partisan in the news referring to the polearm rather than politics, sometime.
