It feels good to have a leisure activity to do myself again. I've felt aimless while fronting for a while.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online The best bet would be a smoke machine and an ordinary laser pointer.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online Having a solid visible beam requires either a very foggy atmosphere, or an incredibly powerful laser. It's easiest to go the foggy atmosphere route; just get a normal laser pointer and a fog machine. The powerful laser route requires special licensing to even be allowed to have one that powerful, and is very dangerous.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online oh, Duskers is one we've been interested in for a while.

@Balina I doubt most people would win in a fight against a flock of geese, anyway. They're vicious when provoked.

@Vyzie They sell them at some pharmacies, but you can also get them online. We've found timercap.com/ but I'm sure there are other websites.

@mawr @JulieSqveakaroo @anthracite We have pill bottle caps with timers in them that count up from the last time you opened the bottle. They're very good at letting us know if we've taken a particular medication recently or not.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online We've seen some that imply that such an explanation exists without actually giving it to the reader. The Death Gate Cycle comes to mind, or most of Brandon Sanderson's books. I think Kingmaker, Kingbreaker has some aspects of that, too.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online Oh, I see. That seems like an odd physics engine.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online That's strange. I don't see how those are related, but I guess there's probably some coding oddness somewhere.

@cozykaffe@snouts.online Why do you want vsync off, anyway? We've never understood why it's an option because we can't think of any reason you wouldn't want it.

@monorail How is it possible to not get replies, though? They seem very straightforward and obvious to me.

@maidofclay@snouts.online @Felthry Oh, that's pretty. Seems they're out of stock, though.

re: CW for length, Mechanical stuff!

@Motodrachen On the topic of circles in circles, you've reminded me that this website exists: packomania.com/

@Motodrachen I was wondering if it was just manufacturing or if there was some performance reason for it, so I suppose that answered that!

Why did they want more than one valve?

Why are the pistons in an engine always circular, anyway?

I've been feeling some kind of ennui lately, I think. Lacking in drive to do things.
