I had quite a few experiences where I ran the hell away spamming perimeter defense blasts...

@Soreth I swapped out perimeter defense for hardened hull. The former just wasn't seeing a lot of use since in practice it only helped for a few seconds and the slow charge made it easier to run away most of the time anyway.

@Soreth hm, maybe I should actually ditch the sonar. Range isn't much better than just the headlights and it burns power too.

@starkatt Hardened hull is always useful. Perimeter defense is great in the seamoth for getting stuff to go away - you can just blip it without the charge-up and most things will leave you alone. Seamoth didn't usually need the sonar, Cyclops kinda did (but watch the power draw!)

@Soreth question, will creatures attack my Cyclops when it's parked and I swim somewhere else?

@starkatt That's a thing that can happen, though if you shut down your engine when you leave it doesn't really call attention to itself for most things.

@Soreth being a kilometer underwater and coming out of a cave to find your ride home shattered is the stuff of nightmares.

@starkatt Oh, no doubt! But with the engine not running it's basically a hole in the water for things that hunt by noise. You do have to watch out for things that like electricity and energy though.

@Soreth @starkatt Also, while driving your Cyclops you eventually want the shield module. Just leave it off except for creature attacks; it's a big power hog.
