It is now Noon. Already today I have snorkeled for an hour and a half (at minimum), seen two more sea turtles, a sea snake, and heard singing humpback whales offshore (!!)

These birds are MAD, yo. Cat is still snurkling around in the plants at the base of the tree.

Sitting outside at this tiki place, and the tree near us suddenly ERUPTS into furious bird noises. And then again, shortly afterwards. Then again.

And suddenly, we see a cat trying and failing to climb the tree and the furious birds make sense.

I just watched the sun set over the Pacific, with my toes in the sand and the water up to my ankles.

With whales dancing 'neath the sun, breaching up from the water and sending splashes high, near the horizon. Six or seven breaches, several fin slaps, and any number of spouts.

Magnificent.

(I did not see one up close in the water; we saw a 3d film on a spherical screen that showed them life size)
