what is the future of gender transition? (long; some candid talk about sexual organs, but only in a way that would be acceptable in a health class; OK to RT)
One of my projects I'm working on involves a timeline of scientific predictions about the future. Some stuff that's certain, like specific dates that eclipses will definitely happen. And some stuff that's fuzzier, such as the year-- or range of years-- that certain effects of climate change could happen, or that new technologies become available to the public. I found a few websites that have such timelines of the future:
* Wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021
* Future Timeline http://futuretimeline.net
* Quantum Run https://www.quantumrun.com/
Some subjects that are nearly missing in those three sites are predictions about LGBT issues and women's issues. Advances in human rights are probably hard to predict. Since there are a lot of predictions about advances in medical technology, though, it seems like there should be more predictions about ones that are part of gender transition, and what year we might expect them to become available.
For example, a study found that deleting a single gene in an adult can change ovaries into testes. (That is, it makes the gonads produce an appropriate level of testosterone for testes, but they don't produce sperm.)

Gene editing in adults can also change testes into ovaries: https://medicalxpress.com/news/2011-07-gene-required-male-sex-life.html
And we already have CRISPR technology that has been used to edit the genes of an adult human. So far, that's very experimental and dangerous, because it can accidentally turn on a cancer gene, so it's only been used for people with otherwise incurable genetic diseases. This transhuman article and its comments explore those and other futuristic possibilities for transition, such as creating lab-grown sex organs by building a scaffold for one's own stem cells. The author of that article predicts these will *exist* as transition options by 2024, though it could take longer than that before they're available to most people who want them. https://web.archive.org/web/20190531225121/http://hplusmagazine.com/2014/05/08/total-gender-change-within-decade/
If you have links to other pages and predictions like these, please share them... especially if propose dates by which these things could happen, just because I need that in order to put them into the timeline I'm writing.
Covid 19 relief fund link, First Nations stuff
Heya, just wanted to call out that this pandemic is really hitting Dene and Hopi people hard, and that there's now a relief fund for this;

A hunting genius our dog is apparently not. We were having dinner tonight and had the door cracked in case Parker wanted to go out.
Midway through, a squirrel jumps onto the back porch railing and scurries down to the porch. It walks right up to the open door and he finally catches sight of it, and just lazily turns his head a little to eye it. Squirrel stands there for a moment then wanders off. Only after it's halfway up the porch fence does Parker bother standing up to go investigate.
SEApol: tax Amazon for covid-19 relief, online petition (RT OK!)

Asking for Money for Food
I would like to be able to order some food via Grub hub/Doordash whenever there is an emergency. Right now my father gives me $150/week for groceries, but since the hotel room doesn't have a kitchen, just a fridge and a microwave, I cannot cook everything I may want to eat.
I need another $40 for food at least this week. Right now I am surviving off of canned foods, instant mac and cheese (the kind you add water to, and then heat up in the microwave for like 3 minutes), and cereal.
If you want to help me be able to order decent food from time-to-time, then please feel free to donate via these places:

from the OP:
====
posts about how men are trash rarely, if ever, reach their target audience (straight cis allo men). instead, they hurt already marginalized groups like:
* trans men, who have to defend against the view that men are predatory and so they are predatory and that their desire to be a man is hurting women. this applies double to straight and mspec trans men
* trans women, who know that any post talking about “males” is actually about them and have to deal with being misgendered and considered predatory in real life, and have been gaslit by terfs into thinking that all men and all males are bad, so they are bad. this applies double to gay trans women
* mspec men who experience attraction to women, and unlike gay men cannot escape being considered a part of the male gaze. who are distrusted and reviled in queer and lgbtq+ spaces all the time due to being considered a threat to women and woman aligned people
* arospec men (of any orientation), who are considered extra predatory due to their lack of romantic attraction
* masc aligned nb people, who struggle with feeling like their attraction is bad due to their masculinity
* mspec women who are attracted to men, who are told by people (often but not always or solely, lesbians) that any abuse that happens to them is their own fault for having a relationship with a guy, or a consequence of being attracted to men.
* male survivors of assault, CSA, and rape, who must contend with their own feelings about their sexuality and the abuse they experienced and are especially vulnerable to the narrative that men are predatory (goes again for each marginalized group you are a part of)
* mentally ill amab people with intrusive thoughts who already struggle with feeling like they are going to hurt somebody, and are hurt when people say that men are inherently predatory; and autistic amab people who struggle with social interaction.
* men of colour, who are considered a threat to whiteness and white womanhood. this goes again if they are mentality ill/ND, mspec, arospec, or a survivor.
every post about how men are trash is punching down, not up.
Last night I dreamed I was buying something and opened up my wallet to pay. I had several fives, some ones, and.... a $28 bill? Also a $69 bill that felt obviously counterfeit. The clerk didn't want to take the $28 bill since it was so unusual. Not counterfeit, or non-legal-tender, just... unusual. Like someone saying you should keep a $2 bill, or a $1 coin.
On the darkest possible night, under the clearest possible atmospheric conditions, the countless stars you can see in the night sky are only 0.000001% of the total number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy.
I have a magic rectangle. One side of it is metal, the other glass. Inside it are crystals of exceptional fineness, metal etched into intricate patterns, and traces of many exotic elements, all from different faraway lands. Symbols appear on the glass, and if touched in the right order, many wondrous and terrible things can happen. Just as often, they do not, and I have to spend an hour working out which part of the ritual I messed up.

Rare coastal dragoness, often found by sunny sea cliffs. Nonbinary but fairly femme-leaning. If you're under 18 don't follow.
