Good plan! :3

Geek Friendship Fallacies
Found this article while researching plurality stuff. It actually doesn't have anything to do with plurality- instead it's about toxic friendship norms in geek circles.

And wow!
1. This used to apply to my circle of queer friends who met at my community college QSA and the Rainbow Community Center. To a T.
2. None of my friends do these things anymore, so... dare I say... have we grown up?
Ooooh, that'll be so pretty! Pics when you get your hair cut? I'd love to see how it comes out. ^^
Oooh, she's beautiful! <3
Hehe, that's a good way of looking at it! Thanks for adding some perspective. :D

Plurality/multiplicity
*fractured sense of self, sorry
Plurality/multiplicity, mh
Things I *do* know:
1. I dissociate & depersonalize frequently in response to stress
2. I have done this my entire life
3. I did not experience trauma as a child, but I was very sensitive and internalized a lot of my father's verbal aggression
4. I learned to "not feel" certain things in order to cope with stressful situations
5. I have serious codependency issues that have caused problems in my close relationships
Plurality/multiplicity
Yeah, absolutely. :D Just as always, I'm afraid of over-diagnosing myself, or appropriating language that belongs to people with DID.
However, the more I read about it, the more it seems that:
A. Plurality is a really good way for me to describe my fractured sense of sense
B. I have a lot of similar mental health issues as others with DID
Plurality/multiplicity
I mean, that works too.
I'm just the kinda person who likes to do a TON of research before I'm sure if someone applies to me or not.
Even though plurality has appealed since late middle school. ^^;;
** I realize that David Duchovny is an actual person, and not just Fox Mulder.
But that's all the more reason why Fox Mulder is daddy and not David Duchovny.
Aww Kyle MacLachlan is bae. 😍
Plurality/multiplicity
Does anyone have links to multiplicity/plurality?
I've been thinking lately about how multiplicity is a useful way to describe my gender and identity, but because I do not have DID I'm not sure if it's appropriative for me to use that set of vocabulary.
If anyone has information about what it means to be plural or the criteria for defining one's identity this way, I would love to see.
Thanks in advanced!
You would be! I love it. :D :D
Can you find any pictures of what you might look like? I'm honestly just curious now. :3
gender hot take
I think the big thing to move away from is biological essentialism. Linking a patient's gender to genitalia isn't helpful. The "I have ovaries... therefore I'm a woman" thinking is outdated and dangerous.
I hope we can get doctors to list that relevant information as separate from gender. Because a trans man may have ovaries or not, and getting automatically signed up for a pap smear as a trans woman isn't helpful, either.
