I have a friend up there in Rochester who likes the "garbage plates" which, when described, sound like the absolute recipe for an instant heart-attack.

That's quite a tale! I don't blame you at all for giving up Illinois winters. I've met a lot of people who moved here for the same reason. We don't get the ice storms now as often as we used to, so winter is quite tolerable here.

I definitely want to hear more about writing and the animals and all that history. I'd say more but I get 500 letters.

Enjoy your cruise! I hope it's somewhere that the water is pleasant and the stars are bright at night. I always look forward to coffee! ☕️​

I'm a native Austinite, a fan of yummy food, and I'm an out-of-work editor. I've never held two jobs that were truly alike and I think that's what has always drawn me to writing. I can't make up my mind about what I want to do, and writing (or dreaming) is the only way I can do anything I want.
