@KommaChameleon I've seen it both ways where some people do and others do not. Personally I think it's a good idea to spread out on certain topics, especially if there's an instance for such things. However, if you don't wish to spread out isn't not bad either. It helps to have backup accounts in case one instance goes down.

@RobotFencer@mastodon.social Generally, hashtagging it and putting it behind a CW like "[Insert Event] Livetoot" should be sufficient. That way, the toot will not only take up the minimum amount of space (on web) but will allow people to choose whether to engage with it. It's useful for spoiler prevention too.

@Rosemary it's technically digital via some $35 dollar hotcat antenna but we can get around 16-18 channels on a good day through it.
