Now remembering another very creepy DM I got from some dude who was definitely an r/niceguy. He sent me a DM starting off with "hey there sweetie!" and said that he saw me on a forum and sought me out, and wanted to do a commission of my character. I told him I have no money, but then he insisted on instead talking, getting to know me, and roleplaying.

I told him he was making me uncomfortable because of what he was asking and because he, by his own admission, decided it would be a good idea to track down a stranger and ask them to pay him to make art.

He then said that he does this on a regular basis, and said "If that makes you uncomfortable, I can't really help you"

So yeah, mega creepy >,<

A few years ago I got this creepy DM from someone. They said "he will learn", followed up by a "hi" a few seconds later. I immediately muted them without a reply because they misgendered me in a vaguely threatening message.

As for what happened, I think he were talking to a popular girl who I had a disagreement with a day or two prior, and he accidentally sent the first message to me instead of the other person? And I guess he was trying to impress her by going after me or something?

Okay, I think I misread it, it doesn't seem to be what I'm experiencing. What does seem to fit is Platoniflux, where you are unsure if what you're experiencing is platonic or romantic attraction, but at other times you can tell the difference.
