@envgen Today I did my first fb status update in 12 weeks. Fb utterly debased itself with joy, waving a kind of pillsbury-dough-boy hand at me, crying "welcome back," and something with fluttery hearts. I guess it's working, because now I'm really preoccupied with worry about facebook. Like, I don't think it's okay.

The less I engage with Facefuck, the more urgently it notifies me that someone I barely know commented on someone else I barely know. So I wonder if fsckbirb has a similar algorithm. It feels itself losing you! Why are you so cold?! Notice things! Engage!!

@jk Actually, with my caps lock key mapped as an escape key, I can bang out more barley flour on my saddle quern than some overpriced rotary.

@sydneyfalk As part of the strong/weak thing, there's often also this paternalistic, concern-trolling element: "I _worry_ that these people [who block] are hiding in their bubbles and not learning to Deal With Other Opinions."

As if people who block aren't seeking out and trying to understand various others & their experiences, just not on the free-speech dude-bro's terms.
