seriously for some reason their voicemail system is full of horribly loud sounds which you can’t turn off punctuating every action and it honestly just adds to the awful anxiety of calling voicemail
(maybe one day I should actually finish that game; I only ever actually finished its PSP prequel)
this government continues to show no desire to improve on IT projects and their security, and now acts in absolute bad faith around medical consent and confidentiality
and as a trans person I really don’t fancy discussing my fucking surgical history with a doctor I’m taking to about an ear infection or whatever, like cmon, given my and others’ experience with doctors fixating on things like that, this is awful
part of the reason it’s possible to actually have concerns addressed right now is because you can go to a GP and describe symptoms and they don’t immediately get to look you up in a database and go “oh it must all be in your head” and this is going to absolutely ruin that
this is a system which is *absolutely* going to be weaponised against people with mental health issues, and has been implemented with no consideration of the stigma it’s going to irrevocably spread for many people, and no concept of consent or autonomy
(my favourite part of this is that this web site repeatedly dropped HTTP connections while I filled out the opt-out form, which just kind of shows you the rigour with which government IT is *still* deployed)
but yeah for real the big opt out button is over at https://www.myhealthrecord.gov.au/for-you-your-family/opt-out-my-health-record and it takes 2 seconds and needs only your ID (license, passport, &c accepted) and your medicare card and I firmly believe you should opt out and not trust this system
