as I understand it, a lot of Switch games use dynamic rendering resolutions, so it makes sense that they’d sometimes end up more variable than the UI resolutions, but it’s interesting to see different approaches
for comparison’s sake, Splatoon 2’s UI appears to be natively 1080p, with lower-res 3D rendering behind it in some scenes
why you would make your default integer parsing behaviour be “infer from the first character of input string” and not “it’s *probably* base 10 unless otherwise specified” is beyond me
