@green @emanate @Leucrotta I was in Livermore, which avoided most of the Silicone Valley craziness, but became a sort of bedroom community for such anyway.
Still wonder how different I would have been if my family stayed in Pacifica after I was born. :-/

@green @Leucrotta I grew up there. Not lived in that area for like...15 years now. Not missing it in terms of the culture and people, but...a close friend and sib still lives in Oakland. And I grew up with the forests and hills and natural parks and ocean and single mountain, so the /land/ is still dear to me if nothing else.
