I sketched a thing!

I'm trying to learn to sketch/draw again. It's been a while, and I'm a little out of practice, so hey, having a reference to use is sometimes a good way to start.

This card art from Magic the Gathering was what recently woke my mad science self back up, so I definitely wanted to put Lai in that situation instead. chrisrallis.deviantart.com/art

So, definitely still a WIP and all, but what I've got from these last 4-ish hours: awoo.space/media/ZomSUzD_4OkpY

Soft woo

@KawaSeadrake

I'm meanwhile exceptionally otter today, also because of the one crack of thunder I managed to hear. :-}

@KawaSeadrake Mmmm. There was one good sharp crack of thunder just now, nothing more so far.

@kellerfuchs Sure! And voltbulbs, fresh from the groundsockets.
There's often capacitance pie for dessert, hot off the heatsink. That's my favorite, with a bit of conductive paste.

A holiday for synthetics, especially electric-powered ones:

Ampsgiving.

>_>

@LexYeen @emanate @zx3 Oooh, I suppose you could have both. Cycles being more dangerous because it's your life, in a way.

Maybe you just get shut down for a while to save resources, or conscripted (heh) into fighting the corruption, if you run out.

@zebratron2084

Nah. I think you're in the same universe, sadly. That's the one I remember too! Bonglestein Bears and the Blarglebok was my favorite.

Either that, or you got off on the wrong Kartma platform.

@zx3
Hmmm. I think they could trade in things like clock cycles, literally tradiing runtime away.
That might be a bit grim though.

If it's a ruined post-corruption zone, then perhaps the best sort of currency is... Order. Somehow-discrete units of something that stabilizes corruption and does the equivilant of defragmenting for a program. Those who have a lot of it find it easier to keep it, and those who don't... have to gamble what little they have to try for more.

tarot; woo; cartomania

@zebratron2084

I'd almost want to riff on that and go with different versions of orangehead 45, but... I don't think I have the heart to talk about him at all. :-P

@zebratron2084 Quick, find a children's book about those cartoon bears and tell me which spelling the title of the series is! That will narrow it down further.

postfurry lewdness

@zebratron2084 I just came across that one (or did you get it from me posting it just a minute ago?), but yeah. Super cute, no idea what sort of lab it's from, seems an odd way to get maintenance done.

Honestly Nikolai (or really just 'Lai' for short now, he's gone a bit Neptunian) should open one. Cute, beneficial, more-or-less harmless TF and other mad science a specialty. Either reversible, or permanent-but-with-a-backup-to-restore.

more reflection

@zebratron2084 Mmm, good to know it gets a bit weirder over time. That was the part I liked about the 3 episodes I've seen so far (of GP). Not the unlikeable person trying to be good but mostly succeeding in being 'bad' while most of the other characters around her are equally unlikeable. :-P

more reflection

@zebratron2084

I've actually been slowly getting into that one, got it recommended to me as being a bit similar to People of Earth. Which is also good, in different ways.

more ire

@zebratron2084

Mmm, okay, noted.

(I was worried that Kin was the character you mentioned. And I'll send some flowers and a nice card to Noelle. :-} )

more ire

@zebratron2084

I know this is just venting, but I really should have asked this a long time ago:
What name would you prefer, right now?

(Yeah, I'm replying to the content of the post that keeps being revised. Wishing pretty heavily for a temporary 'edit' button for posts here, myself. )

@irisjaycomics This can be accomplished either by wearing lots of goth fashion, or by having a group of crows follow you around (which is also goth). :-D

A supplementary link with a bit more details on the wackiness involved: h2g2.com/entry/A371747.

Characters and plots of mine are mentioned a few times, there. :-P

Current mood: gleefully lost in old internet things. My first internet experiences, actually.

This article sums it up pretty well. kotaku.co.uk/2016/02/02/secret

And recently I found the actual form that kicked it all off, which is hella postfurry in places. web.archive.org/web/1999021005
