Once I have the medical assessment need met, I will have my disability confirmed, which gives me a solid monthly income to springboard other efforts off of.

@noelle Spouse and I were talking about that last night, actually. it's possible to come up with a scenario that makes the setup possible, but how it happened is never *mentioned*. it's like the worldbuilding is missing a couple of supporting pillars, and while you can imagine where they should be and how they'd fit... there's no sign that they actually canonically *exist*, and it's weird.
