anxiety dream about going to class with my papers all mixed up, not knowing what to turn in, last day, teacher wrote big "F+" on the dry erase board. ugh. on the other hand, I brought Nar to class and everybody loved him, so that was a bonus? :P

@kara_dreamer@witches.town and now I'm listening to the rest of the series, because I had a version on cassette that I don't know where it came from and it was slightly different?? I literally memorized bits of it, and now I'm VERY CONFUSED, so I'm trying to figure out where that version came from/went. if I just imagined it all... well, that would be frankly typical of me, tbh.

@kara_dreamer@witches.town I actually haven't heard the original radio finale--I've only heard the second radio broadcast, which ends with the gang hijacking the Disaster Area black ship and something something black hole explosion something, I don't really remember. nifty awesome, thank you! :D

@kara_dreamer@witches.town that's pretty awesome, imo. :) and now that I think about it... I did learn some important, ground-shifting things about myself at 42, so... huh. I never thought of it that way. huh!

@kara_dreamer@witches.town oh yes. part of that is the sense of humor--I love that kind of thing, but I know some people bounce off it hard. part of it is that writing wasn't really DA's passion, and he doesn't seem to have actually liked it much, and been sometimes annoyed by it being his main source of income. XD

otoh I'm kind of glad that pTerry died when he did--before the Brexit nonsense, and Trump. I like to think that he died when the world was a more hopeful place, and he didn't have to deal with all the crap we're slogging through now. :|

I'm pretty sure that I grieved more deeply for Douglas Adams than I will when I find out that my biodad is dead. I still miss DA, and still wish that he was around.

@Jacel @mawr and for ghu's sake don't bother with "And Another Thing," which was written by someone else as an homage to DA using some of the notes from "The Salmon of Doubt," but manages to be *amazingly* tedious to read. like, there's funny parts, but most of it is "somebody obviously trying much too hard to write like Douglas Adams and failing."
