@vahnj @mawr the first time I can remember having a lucid dream, it was "okay, this is way too ridiculous, I must be dreaming. wait--I'M DREAMING!" and I got so excited I immediately woke myself up. XD

@mawr @vahnj oooh, wow. I am somewhat envious, though not being able to remember the dreams is a powerful negative counterweight to always being lucid. >____<

@vahnj @mawr that's pretty awesome, there's some good story seeds in there!

how I've convinced myself it's ok to answer the phone: immediately hang up & block robocalls and collection agencies

I don't even engage, just laugh, hang up, block

@mawr @vahnj I feel like I should carry around a flashing sign "ASK ME ABOUT HOW TO HAVE LUCID DREAMS," I'm afraid I'm a bit of a breathing infodump about it. XD

@vahnj @mawr it takes practice. if you can keep a notebook next to your bed and write down what you remember immediately after waking up, often those notes will prompt you to remember the entire dream later when you look at them. or a voice recorder for mumbling into, though I can't vouch for how well that works as I've never tried it.

@mawr I like my dreams! it's one of the reasons that sleep is one of the core biological functions I'd never want to give up. :)

@vahnj okay! I will try to remember this and avoid DID YOU KNOW-ing at you again later, but no guarantees as my memory is Not Great. but yay kobold characters! ^___^

@vahnj I think we've already had this conversation but in case we hadn't DID YOU KNOW there's a 5th edition book that has a section about kobolds and special stuff for making them PCs? my 5th ed kobold is the party tank. :D

there was some other stuff but it was either too vague to explain, or utterly mundane (omg the suet cage is empty! I just filled it yesterday! did it melt? DID SQUIRRELS???) (the suet was still there when I woke up this morning, I checked)

things I dreamed (these are all pretty vaguely remembered):

* being a giant dragon, tearing apart a planet for materials to either make myself power armor or possibly a giant new robot body, and throwing chunks of the planet at its moon (because it'd be easier to assemble them there)
* a candy shop that had a lollipop for $19, but smaller "lollipops" of chocolate-covered gummy bears in a big bundle for $5
* wolf brothers, one of whom is a "werewolf," the other is a vampire (I kinda like this)

well I got a couple of hours of sleep before the insomnia bit me. :P

*staaaaaaares at computer*

no really sleep sounds fantastic right now

I have to admit that part of the reason I want to make a sexy male belf is to RP him as a renegade shapeshifted black dragon BECAUSE FUCK YOU I'M A DRAGON THAT'S WHY. and see how much RP I can get thrown at him. XD

I am so very damn tempted to roll a "sexy handsome" male belf and RP-parade him through Silvermoon. :P I've been thinking of rolling a mage for a while... I don't have as much fun with rogues, I've already got a paladin, hunter (both tauren), and priest (Forsaken), no interest in warrior, and I've never been able to make warlock stick. and I've got a demon hunter too, female. and a death knight, tauren. XD
