@Soreth *protective wing-mantling and growling*
also saw Lefty earlier, picking up its own peanuts. from the size, I *think* Lefty is male--he's on the larger size, and males are larger than females. Lefty's not part of the Gang of Three. I don't remember seeing him at all last spring or summer, so I don't know if he's a seasonal visitor or part of a local family.
@Elizafox edible things?
yay, I just put out peanuts for my crow Gang of Three. two of them were working on the suet feeder earlier--one clinging to the support rod, the other standing on the porch railing and reaching up, by which I know the one on the rod is last season's "mom" and the one on the railing is one of last season's kids. I watched that one figuring out the "stand on the rail for suet" trick as it was growing up. :D
mh, elder care
@noelle I worked in a nursing home for a while, in my very early twenties. it was grueling, emotionally wrenching work. *sends much empathy*
@ThatDamnCat I will after lunch. ;)
@cute_weeds I tried that but two of the mods are conflicting and my gender keeps glitching out and crashing. :|
@Leucrotta awww, Dilong! :D cute fluffy chirp!

Animal Crossing confession: meh
since so many people on my TLs are burbling about Animal Crossing, I downloaded it on my phone and played with it a bit, but I have to admit I am deeply "meh" about it, and probably won't play more. part of the reason is that I'm deeply wary of the false engagement of timed tasks and time-degradation mechanics that can be countered with microtransactions.
@Elizafox @rodserlingzone @icetsvu *wild applause*
PSA, dog stress, addendum
@kit I used to have a dog that, when she was happy/excited, would bare her teeth--while sticking her tongue out, ears forward, neck relaxed. she'd also make a whiffling sound. it wasn't usually in response to anything other than seeing a family member come home. some dogs do naturally "smile."
@cute_weeds THIS IS MY GENDER NOW
