i learned to code at tech meetups. i attended tech meetups because corper sponsors always catered. it was how i could afford to eat.
we don't talk about economic accessibility in tech much but there it is. we're starving out here. i can code because coders fed me.

I have to admit that my interest in "Yet Another Straight-Cis-White-Guy Saves The Day" stories has pretty much tanked.
every trailer I've seen for "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" has been gorgeous, and I've loved Fifth Element since forever. but the trailers are also full of YASCWGSTD as mentioned above and it's such a huge turn-off at this point.
today at volunteering, I fed baby squirrels. and took laundry down to the laundry room, and brought up clean towels and stuff, and wiped off some tables and boxes... and fed baby squirrels.
like 70% of my shift was feeding baby squirrels. o________o they're cute, but ANNOYING AS HELL to feed. and I'm assured we will continue to get more of them in for the next couple of weeks... yaaaaaay

This is something that pops up in Robert Anton Wilson's philosophies: the concept of "model agnostic".
The idea being that any model of the universe and how the universe works is both incomplete and also contains useful truths. The challenge is to not mistake any model for the universe as a whole.
I'm sorta that? Except for, like, crafting my own model out of raw aether.
