admin note: when I say "nosetouch" or "noseboop" or "nosenudge" think cat behavior. "noseboop" is when you put a finger out and the cat leans forward and touches your fingertip with their nose. "nosenudge" is when cat nuzzles at you with their nose. "nosetouch" is when cats greet each other by touching noses. "headbump" is cat thumping head against leg/arm/shoulder/side/couch/whatever, in happypurrfriend mode. =^____^=

The touchscreen on my phone is dying and I could use a recommendation. Criteria are:

As far as I can tell this pretty much means a Pixel or buying a used Nexus device... is there anything else out there?
all I can hear of the music the downstairs people are listening to is the repetitive baseline, and I don't know if they're listing to a bunch of stuff that all has the same baseline or one *really long* thing or what, but it's starting to give me the eye-twitchies. time to plug into the Glitch soundtrack!
I might have solved my laptop keyboard problems. or I might have just traded them in for a completely different set of keyboard problems. time will tell!

What I am reading now: the second book in Ann Leckie's Ancilliary trilogy. It's hard to describe the premise without spoiling the FLAWLESS way Leckie unfolds this universe in the first book. Seriously, she learned her chops in short stories, and it shows. If you love putting together the jigsaw puzzle of a world as an author reveals them, do yourself a favor and pick up "Ancilliary Justice" blind.
