anyway, I'ma go take a nap. seeya later mastodauntations. <3

I think there may have been a Catastrophic Squirrel Failure on the porch just now.

Nar curled up and purring in my lap is the best sleeping medication ever. I am ready for all the naps now

Nar isn't very good at lapcatting, but he Tries Real Hard (at least until he gets distracted by birds outside)

ugh I've had That One Smashing Pumpkins Song stuck in my head for the better part of the last TWO WEEKS. it's not offensively annoying, just *persistent*.

re:lrt: laughing so hard I'm crying and coughing omg

and the crows have gotten over their hesitation about being able to see the laptop, both "Mom" and Junior have been snacking at the suet feeder. Junior also displayed some quiet "feed me" type gronk-noises, though I'm not sure if those were aimed at me, "Mom," or a squirrel that was on the porch. or just... talking to itself? idk!

oh also I just remembered, so last night Spouse is lying on his back falling asleep and Nar jumps up on the bed (announcing himself with a howl, like he does), walks up Spouse's body, *headbutts Spouse in the mouth*, and settles down proudly draped along Spouse's chest to stare at me and purr as hard as he could. Spouse mumbled "hi Nar" and I giggled.

later Spouse rolled over, so Nar climbed up onto my pillow and nuzzled my hand until he fell off the bed. BECAUSE NAR.

*likes every single picture of cats found on my timeline*

this is a very important and productive use of my time

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."
Carrying the light of love is one of the highest callings I believe we can answer. There is never a shortage of need for those willing to shine in the darkness and drive out hate.

Pooka certainly likes this new living room setup; it means he can come sit half on my lap and get pets while I'm noodling around with the computer. he's even graciously allowing me to write with the keyboard on my lap next to him, instead of constantly nuzzling my hands for more pets while I'm trying to type. XD

It's called Sewer Neck. Kids try it at parties, next thing they know they're at an art gallery in bushwick gettin' paid to make gift baskets with decorative pillows.

the crows are hanging around, I think a feeding is going on downstairs, but Junior and "Mom" keep trying to get snacks from the suet feeder and being distracted and wary about my laptop setup, which they can just see through the window, and which is New and therefore Possibly Bad. I hope they are able to get over the Newness; it'd be cool to be able to watch them eat while I'm sitting here. me being on the couch isn't really New, but the laptop is.

dream, mild violence

eventually a half-dozen or so of us who hadn't been afraid of the giant monster cats were sitting together, along with a couple of the cats, and just beginning to have a discussion about where the cats were from and what was going on when I woke up.

once again, I think I was mis-sent somebody else's nightmare. XD

dream, mild violence

of course this meant that people began pouring out of the restaurant, which meant the monsters could get inside, where I was sensibly hiding. one walked up to me, but it had a large cat face instead of the hammerhead-shark face, and I wasn't afraid at all as I told it that it looked just like my handsome Nar-cat, and that it was handsome as well. it blinked at me, and I got a psychic "oh, you're okay" feeling before it padded away, looking for frightened people to murder.
