Hey kids, want a hot take about furry fandom?
Furry fandom is actually *less* like comics and sci fi fandom, and more like filkers (you're pretty much already a fan), model railroaders and tabletop roleplaying gamers (there's some big companies whose content gets a following, but for the most part it's pretty DIY).
@green you could lower the difficulty and make easy boiled eggs instead!

It's for anyone whose genders (or lack thereof) aren't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and the results are useful in academia, business, and self-advocacy.

I enjoyed #reading The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. It felt like #firefly but better—more diverse characters, more interesting politics, more realistic relationships.

flickers are pretty excitable birds to begin with. in another month or so I expect them to rediscover that they can get a REALLY BIG SEXY NOISE by drumming on the apartment shingles, and get occasional interruptions through the day of "THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP" like somebody's trying to nail something to the porch at twenty times normal speed. XD
@Yarideki I didn't have any clue what you're talking about, but now
SO yeah same
