oh. just realized a thing about Where I Come From: changing genders there is fast, easy, and complete, and they aren't sexually dimorphic; it's impossible to tell just by looking what gender a Johmarik might be, which is part of why it's considered incredibly rude to assume someone's gender or to ask. if they want you to know they'll tell you.

it seems the local crow pair is down to one fledgling, from two last week. ;___; I don't know for sure, but I've only seen one the last couple of days. and, well, they're wild animals... things happen. -_____-

anyway I'm going down to check the mail, clip the blackberries back (I got a pair of hedge clippers and it is SO DAMN SATISFYING to snip that thorny kudzu LIEK WHOA), and see if I can retake the gym at the lake FOR TEAM ENBY! /waves

fffffff. genuine Pokemon Go moral dilemma: I have a Charmelion I've been walking with, to get candy and evolve it up, for 66 km. (!) but it's only CP 288. I just hatched a Charmander that's CP 444. do I switch and level up the new one, or keep the old one despite the fact it'll never be as powerful? *whine*

so! my day went unexpectedly. :D tomorrow will hopefully be more predictable, as it is a volunteer day, 8-1, which means I'll need to get up at like 6, which is earlier than usual. but when I get home I can take a shower and then flop unconscious for a good long while--at least until the cats decide it's food time.

finished re-reading the Ancillary series, yay! had nachos while waiting for Rx to be filled, because I needed protein, but I'm pretty sure the cheese had gluten in it, so I took the medication to cushion that, so I'm not having bad effects but I'm mildly headachy and tired. of course that could also be because of the cellulitis from the spider bite. blargh.

back! was given Rx for antibiotic pills and cream. kinda surprised they didn't want to open it up there, but not exactly disappointed. now off to drink SO MUCH WATER and probably finish reading Ancillary Mercy. XD
