Relearning and derusting some NES/GBC speedgames!

hello welcome to my unfiltered thoughts where I don't think about anything before I hit "awoo"

need a mod for stardew that whenever a crop is destroyed by debris, it's actually debrah and she's just really mad at you and it shows a picture of someone named debrah being really mad at you

I managed to cheese my way out of EX mode and use the mimic desync to get Add's full scepter this morning, and then used that to clear the impossible stage in the trailer stages easter egg.

Normally you can only really reach this by editing your save file, but it was pretty satisfying being able to do it without that, even if it required using a clearly not-intended trick.

Erasure's sign off in this path is just... absolutely beautiful and feels like such a sweet send-off to Void Stranger. Trying to rephrase or summarize it just doesn't feel like it does it any justice.

It then goes black and plays the generic void sounds, and the only thing you can do is hold escape to close the game, at which point the message "Remember this longing..." shows.

I will once again reiterate that Void Stranger is way too powerful of a game and I genuinely cannot believe that it exists, but am thankful that it does.

there was a game a while back that was in development where there was a car that was also a dog/puppy and it had a bunch of bomb chains that you could accidentally run into and fly off into the sky

hello this is a request to stop having names because I can't name anything any more without feeling like I'm stealing something from someone I know lmao

(obviously not really, but damn coming up with names for characters sucks when I want to have something other than just my own :P)

this made me actually start reading up on what O Fortuna is all about because for all the times I've heard bits and pieces of it, I've never actually... learned much about it?

I need to learn to put all the letters up before I say anything because the next line is "et virtutis" which goes along with the "sors salutis" and this all keeps showing results for "o fortuna" when I'm searching so I'm starting to wonder if it's just the words to that lmao

well, I put the ending up on YT because I missed streaming it yesterday because it refused to capture (and it auto plays very aggressively) and I went to translate the text in the cutscene... I've still got a lot of work to do because there's a lot of it, but... "sors salutis" is what I have so far, apparently latin for "the lot of salvation I guess? time to see what the rest of this says, I'll post what I have as I get more stuff lol

It took me about 2 weeks of major binge streams, but after 96 hours, I finished up my streamed 1.6 playthrough.

I'm genuinely really amazed at how with every update, ConcernedApe has left me with a feeling of "wow, so much was added this patch that I don't even want to think about playing previous patches any more!" This absolutely held true for 1.6, and it was a lot of fun exploring all of the new stuff and feeling all of the quality of life changes.

There was definitely a lot of waffling around, and a lot of this was extra time spent for exploring and engaging with mechanics that I don't often mess around with. I think my next major Stardew things will be a multiplayer farm, and maybe a riverland farm thanks to a simple-but-major buff it received. :P
