First difficult thing to explain to new mastodon users: there are different instances, and they have to follow your accounts on all of them

Second difficult thing to explain to new mastodon users: why you will only follow them back from the one account

When some people talk about filter bubbles and how it's good to burst them, they are almost always speaking in favor of centrism. "A person on the left should read right-leaning thought that they didn't agree with." But what about a left-learning person reading even-more-radical left-wing thought? That is still exposing yourself to new/uncomfortable ideas that challenge your beliefs.

I just find it curious that some people think "bursting your filter bubble" naturally lends itself to centrism.

ICYMI: The beta version of Twidere now supports Mastodon. Not all features are implemented (missing at least: CW), but it's a good start.
