Writing
1670 so far today, which is pretty good given it's been another two-week stretch without me being able to really focus on writing. I do this best when I can get to it regularly. I can't, always, which is annoying.
Still, I know where this scene is going and I should have it done by post date. It took me half my writing block to establish the tone of the scene in my head, but now that I know where it's going I think I can finish it.
I should really snowflake Ties.
Cooking
Tonight, I couldn't be arsed to cook, so I made quiche.
"But buni," I hear you say, "that's still cooking, isn't it?"
No, it isn't. Quiche is dumping about 800g of random food in a frozen pie tin, whisking five eggs and 70ml of milk with some garlic salt, pouring the royale over the random food, and baking at 200C until set, which is about forty-five minutes, just enough time for my pain meds to kick in.
Cooking takes, like, effort. Quiche is easy.
Ask For It By Name
One cup ice cubes
One cup whole milk
One cup plain yogurt
One cup Ingredient X!
In this case, ingredient X happens to be two mangoes, a quarter cup of lime juice, half a tablespoon of cinnamon, and a cup of sugar left to macerate, then pulped and boiled to a syrupy consistency. Your choice of fruit and sweetener, of course. Get creative. Strawberries. Pineapple. Just consider avoiding these: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbxeNkuhwRw
Foodcrime
Deep-fried breaded tilapia and broccoli-parmesan rolls.
THIS is the new "something I whipped up."

Invocation of Leo
The Sun rises and falls. The moon turns. Stars move. The leaves turn red and the work takes on a rhythm of its own.
Spirit of Leo, steady heat, I invite you to make your mark upon me, to help me tame passion into praxis, to keep my fire stoked as I practice my craft.
Xalki, builder, thank you for your dedication. Your devotion to your work is inspirational, in failure and in success. May I be as committed to my efforts as you've been to yours.
The Work Continues.
"However, we must be careful not to idolize decentralization as a complete and utter force of good. Like democracy, and equality, if not matched with a decent structure or hierarchy, it eventually erodes coordination, and then motivation, until the eventual collapse of the network. So we must be wise, when designing our rules, to strike a strong balance between decentralization and meritocracy, always testing and measuring our assumptions."

Good to see RevCom active. I just wish the news were better. Tell me the good you do, along with the ills of others.
