See this? This is fond. That's French for "tasty." It's the crust of meat and fat and protein in the bottom of the pan that's the result of the Maillard reaction, which is the caramelization of food to make new flavor compounds.

Today's tech adventure is "Builds on my machine."
That's literally the problem. It builds locally. However, the source tree doesn't contain half the unit tests, most of the functional tests, or any of the integration tests. And even those tests only cover about a quarter of the code base. So getting it to build locally just means it's time to submit the build for remote-build, reviewing the errors, trying to fix the problem, building locally until it passes, and submitting again.

Um, okay, one last bit of asking for help. I need work. I stand to lose my job in two weeks, I've done everything I can and have been working my ass off, but I still don't think I'll get off my PiP (Personal Improvement Plan). Does anyone know of dev jobs near Portland? I'll even take any jobs near Seattle. I've worked as associate dev for almost 4 years now and have been working since I've been 14.
