@vahnj You can get a similar experience at the taquerias in CA-- but the primary language will not be English ^^;;
Things I love about the Seattle area: Teriyaki shops
It's just a thing out here, like Taquerias in the south west. Privately owned shops offering most of the same menu; tasty chicken teriyaki being the usual star of the show.
It's the blue collar dish of choice for many out here; construction crews breaking for lunch in one of these tiny shops is just as common as office workers doing the same.
I think that's kind of beautiful, honestly.

YouTube is kind of like the closest thing to socialist television we can get under capitalism and I love that it exists
I medicated and cuddled with YouTube all day and it was infinitely better than my usual method of just succumbing to c r i p p l i n g d e p r e s s i o n
