Awww yissss, new carpet!! :D

The old one didn't even have a pad and was barely tacked down; probably 20 years old, too. The new one has the super ✨plush✨ pad under it and is much thicker pile, it's like walking on clouds ;o;

Every now and then I like to remind myself that we only managed to create the things we now take for granted after throwing thousands upon thousands of hours of labor at trial and (mostly) error.

I'm in a conference call with the company who's product we're replatforming to use, and they're showing off their built-in marketing tools.

Great fuck. Their _built in tools_ now include automated social media scraping to categorize user interests so you can market to them. You can open any customer profile and see all their calculated interests in a tag cloud.

None of this is okay. None of it. I feel sick.
