@verity no, they stack like books, I guess it's handy if you for some reason carry multiple of this $300 device
@deadofwinter you just know they wanna draw a cool S
@halcy @eevee@queer.party it definitely does, I've gotten the hardware survey on Linux and it listed Linux as the OS
@NoraReed love me some good freshly goo'd goo
ignoring whether or not this campaign is good or useful this has got to be a Hackers reference, right? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_B0riy__rw
@gatrnerd yeah I'm watching it already
wait, Pictomancer is real? #ffxivfanfest
@clonejo @clarfonthey ugh
@lockelyfox stormblood won an award?
@clarfonthey though Apple stuff on the used market isn't quite the same, ppl usually price it way more than it's worth
@clarfonthey I mean that's how most ppl I know got their Thinkpads over the years, just grabbing older models in perfect shape
@clarfonthey I mean tech companies handing out work devices should be great for the used market, and these things should be plenty fast for a long time
@clarfonthey like, sure, it's not for everyone, you have to use macOS to make full use of the hardware and it's all in on USB-C, plus M2 and M3 still have those weird limitation on the number of supported screens but this really is a good computer
I don't think I could justify the cost for myself though, if I needed a proper laptop my 2015 MBP would probably still work fine with Linux… I've mostly been using the Steam Deck as a portable computer
