@onfy kids getting some kind of awesome superpower and going on adventures is like half of all children's literature and this was the time when kid's books with strong female leads got pretty popular, being a witch just makes sense

I think its especially funny that Bibi Blocksberg's mom is like this super powerful witch with a whole coven and her dad is just some normal guy who loves his family

@onfy they used to look like this in my childhood and the new versions/adaptations all look wrong

@onfy ok there's a function of them. they actually translated at least five but for German kids learning English
