@trysdyn yeah, personally I don't think I'd mind it that much. I often just tune into gdq and see what's up and Europe always gets the lower-energy overnight stuff. Especially for a smaller event I think it would help a lot

@inlovewithpda okay, another option I see is you can basically unplug the usb device in software https://www.projectgus.com/2014/09/blacklisting-a-single-usb-device-from-linux/
@inlovewithpda you could try sudo modprobe -r hid_multitouch but it might also disable your trackpad depending on how fancy it is. you get it back by running the same command without the -r
@Natanox @inlovewithpda I'm pretty sure neither of those would affect whether xinput disable works
