@xerz I haven't used Sony headphones with Linux for a hot minute, do they sync volume levels via bluetooth now? bc back when I used them regularly for work the headphone volume control and the device's was completely independent and it led to a bunch of troubleshooting at first

@xerz I mean the output volume really depends on the dac, amp and speakers/headphones

@fillertrack found the wiring guide again!
linked here but I needed the internet archive reddit.com/r/PSP/comments/mkrr
I was planning on soldering mine but I didn't end up having to bc I picked up a slightly bent cradle for like 90€

@fillertrack yeah they don't sell them premade anymore. It should really be as easy as soldering a USB cable onto the board inside the plug on a standard aliexpress component cable tho

@fillertrack if you just want the functionality you can solder 5V onto the standard Chinese video cables (they sometimes even have test points)

@mynameistillian a Linux installation that isn't running won't make the Windows kernel panic, did you install any new drivers lately? try rebooting in safe mode and checking if the issue still occurs. Might be worth reinstalling (or doing the new thing where it reinstalls but keeps user data) and only installing the drivers you absolutely need

it's kinda wild how these days you can get a budget phone and it'll have a nice hidpi OLED screen (usually even with more than 60 Hz!) and a bezelless design and perfectly usable cameras

I always knew companies treat remakes as straight replacements of the original games but it’s still galling seeing it said this plainly. videogameschronicle.com/news/c

@fillertrack @masklayer their shelf planners let you auto-fill even non-rectangular walls with shelves, so technically they have the technology

@trysdyn I really liked this video by a safety engineer (timestamped to the relevant chapter) youtu.be/4eNm8vnKZ38?t=12m57s

he has done a bunch of very interesting ones since then if you like the style

@trysdyn oh also that's a wireless gamepad. as primary method of control.
