in summary: the RE3 remake isn't a bad game, but it's far from the amazing game the RE2 remake is and I wish Capcom had given it a bit more time and money
what I am excited about is Resident Evil 8, since they now have a lot of characters that all fans, old and new, are familar with
RE3 remake opinions, spoilers
first of all, the game feels great, it's a lot of fun, the enemies are beefy but you get lots of weapons and ammo and also the sweet-ass dodge move
the boss fights are all interesting and involve a bit of thinking, but it's a bit sad that the grave digger has been completely cut
but all the interesting puzzles have been cut, a few cool places aren't in the game anymore (esp the clock tower and the park), though I do like the short electrical switches puzzle with the parasite spider thingies, it's very tense
the game reuses so many assets, like I get that you're gonna be reusing everything you can but at times it's a bit too much? This is a full-price game and in many ways it feels like a cheap cashgrab. A lot of the gameplay happens in very linear spaces, you run one way, grab something, run back, grab another thing, run back again… it gets a bit too obvious. RE3 did reuse a bunch of RE2 stuff but it added so much on top of that
the story is cool and I like how they portray the characters, especially Carlos gets a lot more personality. I hope they add something like the Ghost Survivors DLC so we can finally learn what happens to that guy who locks himself in a trailer

been talking about this game a bunch with a friend while we were both doing no heal + sub-2h runs and I have Opinions
is it really impossible to get a decent vertical stand for the PS3 slim? the super slim had an official one that looks really cool but for the slim they just did a bit of plastic that makes it slightly wider (and it's impossible to get the real thing anywhere)
I've looked on Thingiverse and I'm not super happy with what's on there either
coronavirus, awoo?
@wxcafe there is, for Android :P
@trwnh but Zombies are usually depicted as animalistic and animals can differentiate
@trwnh I'm joking around
