@k4gi because it's not a templating language anymore (and it never was a good one, they went and built twig so it could have proper templates) and you're not making anything dynamic anyways
@k4gi you can always use PHP, the original html templating language (as fedi's PHP defender, please don't)

@k4gi I used Zola for my dad's super simple website to not have to repeat the contact widget between two pages (three occurrences) and it was already worth it
@balrogboogie yeah I've seen some of them on youtube shorts and they're not unfamiliar

@k4gi I think what you want is a static site generator, it'll let you use macros and templates in your website and "compile" it to a set of static files that work as if you hand-wrote them
including html in html is not supported, I guess you could go old-school and use framesets or sth

I'll post a pic once I take a good one. didn't go quite as expensive as I originally planned but a lot nicer that the old one I've had for over ten years now which would probably need a full rebuild which is beyond my abilities.
finally got a new bike, I almost got everything I need on it (phone mount, nicer saddle, tachometer), gonna get a lock in tomorrow cuz the old one's on the old bike and it's not coming off, those bolts are seized. Now I just need to get used to the 30-speed derailleur, coming from an 8-speed internal gearbox it's not quite as intuitive
