@masklayer isn't it just based on whether people look up "is x down"
@pup_hime *fucking pets u*
@onfy those don't make my hands hurt
(it's not that bad I just need big handles on my controllers and the triggers need so much force so it's not great for racing games)
@pup_hime destructible environment, frags, gritty setting, takes itself too seriously
it's the same game
this main menu screen is the definition of committing to the bit. Seeing "DOMINATE SHATTER BAY. DOMINATE THE WORLD" set my expectations to exactly the right amount
@murz just of all time
the boost button lets you drive through walls (but only specific ones) or "frag" opponents (yes, they call it that) which sounds much cooler than it is. It's Burnout but not fun. Your car has health even though the game ostensibly wants you to drive into things and you can get randomly "fragged" from behind with no recourse.
downloaded it on a whim with a bunch of other ps3 games, I half-remembered a scathing review, the game opened with an amazing menu and the first dance started with Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites
it plays like ass but I kinda love how unapologetically this game is… like that
@codl I've been wanting this feature for so long lol
@jannuary a single circular glyph light? wow
@jannuary I expect nothing and
@qsx I mostly care about tooling, since my Slim can apparently be overclocked significantly
@qsx I hadn't updated in a while. OFW 4.92 came out in March, I guess it's nice to be somewhat up to date for Blu-ray compatibility?
@vaporeon_ @onfy it all comes down to drivers. Linux devs have done a ton of legwork to make it run on basically any computer. There's also no ACPI on phones, you can run Linux on a lot of them (see PostmarketOS) but you have to basically write a file that describes the hardware to the OS and the build toolchain
@Siph happy birf!
