Es ist wieder so weit - ich suche gemeinsam mit einer Studentin Teilnehmende für eine Studie _in #Karlsruhe _ :)
Normale Geräusch-Unterdrückung reduziert alle Geräusche gleichermaßen. Die Studentin hat Filter für die #OpenEarables entwickelt, die spezielle Geräusche filtern soll. Wir möchten noch 2025 testen, ob die Applikation und die Kopfhörer nützlich und gut nutzbar sind.

I don't even know which notable games of hers to pick because her list of credits is a mile long. She was a very online-present person, and was always there to patiently answer questions of random internet nerds such as myself, and was always nice about it. She will be missed.

Rebecca Heineman is a goddamn legend among women. She did SO much great stuff, from getting Another World to run on 16-bit consoles not in the least bit designed to handle it, to making sure that the Kinect works when you're wearing a skirt, to tirelessly keeping the mac gaming scene alive, to making the worst version of DOOM kinda glorious in its own way.
And she did so much to boost trans visibility. By being so unapolagetically loud and proud as herself there's absolutely no goddamn way of counting how many of us she helped clear a path for.
She will be missed so goddamn hard!

@packbat I think moving to wider registers isn't really worth it, 64-bit numbers are fine for most tasks. I think GPUs have wider registers? but for general computing it'd probably just make everything need too much memory

@shivoa I use Heroic Launcher for GoG and Epic on my Steam Deck but I didn't need to sideload it because it's on the Discover Store (flathub)
