there's an exploit that makes rooting it possible and it's tempting, apparently it still has a bunch of default Android apps and you can uninstall them to improve performance

I'm trying to use my grandma's old Sony ebook reader and I gotta say, it's awfully nice of Sony to allow me to put stuff on here without installing their software
if you want a handy way to carry around all the popular free software licenses, consider buying literally any ebook reader, they all have them preloaded!
