hot take: PSX games usually render way better at higher resolutions than N64 because the PSX aesthetic is already sharp edges with a sprinkle of jank everywhere, N64 games without the console's blurry anti-aliasing filter and with sharp edges on everything just look like someone heard "low-poly" was the new hot indie game thing but didn't bother to actually look it up
