covid, sanitizing phones
anyone got a smart idea as to how to disinfect mobile phones? Mine's waterproof so I just wash it with soap every day or two, but it probably wasn't built for that level of stress. I could use alcohol but that destroys the display's oleophobic coating (also I'd need to mix 70% first, I only have regular ethanol for cleaning parts). I doubt hot steam would be good because of the battery… any ideas?
idk why vlambeer is talking about the 90% nuclear throne discount on steam and not the 100% discount on http://itch.io
Nuclear Throne, a twin-stick shooter roguelite, is 90% off for self-isolation. If you don't have it already you should strongly consider getting this excellent game. It has local co-op and you can use remote play together for that https://twitter.com/Vlambeer/status/1239975635696513025

PSC 'modules' I tried
ioQuake runs really well on the Playstation Classic, and it's playable with the included controller… just not very well
OpenLara is pretty much perfect on the PSC, it runs buttery smooth at "low" settings which just means all the fancy filtering and shadows and water effects turned off, they look super out of place anyways
lzdoom didn't let me control the cursor when I had the 8bitdo stick inserted, probably because it also emulates a keyboard, but it works with the included controller... I just seem to have misplaced my wads, I don't think there were Revenants in Doom 1 E1M1
I have some *very* important news: @alienmelon@twitter.com found the Crash Bandicoot Desktop Character I had been looking for for like seven years lmao 😭
so now, at long last, he has his own entry on the Internet Archive, and he can grace your desktop once more: https://archive.org/details/crash_bandicoot_desktop_character
Monterey Bay Aquarium has closed to the public atm but they'd like to remind you that their webcams are still running
the Switch SNES controller is a great PSC controller btw, it's got all the buttons (albeit the two additional shoulder buttons are tiny) and it feels really nice
I use it with the 8bitdo stick but on Bleemsync/ Project Eris it might also work with a generic bluetooth stick
