This is might be the second most frustrating part of working at Mozilla, because after an enormous amount of Bird Site Excitement, the diagnosis was found to be "User-installed addons from third-parties".

People install a big stack of addons that work at cross purposes, and when their browser falls over doing exactly what they've said it should do, they go to the birdsite to tell everyone the problem is Firefox.
