ah dang it kills the GPU driver when I use the right stick on the map and there's a proton hotfix but it's only applied in the steam version :/
and I lost my save when switching proton versions in Heroic

I wish "don't autoplay gifs and emoji" and the like wasn't usually the same setting as "don't do swipe animations for interface transitions because the first annoys the hell out of me and the second is really helpful for seeing menu hierarchy
this game has the most addicting gameplay loop I've ever seen and lots of cool stuff to unlock and grind for, I think it'll be my new go-to kill-some-time game on the steam deck
