hm, is backdrop-filter's blur supposed to fall off towards the edge of the viewport or is this a Firefox bug

aww yeah, I managed to do a sensitive content clickthrough thing purely in CSS on shork.xyz/posts.html

it uses :focus so you can only reveal one at a time but idk, works for now. Maybe I'll have a look if there's a way to do it with <details><summary> or with a checkbox

also it won't work in browsers without backdrop-filter which is a bummer

ffxiv new variant dungeon minion

fuck offfff Microsoft

it shouldn't be legal for an OS to display ads for your shitty addon while I'm using specific software you don't even make

I would like to remind you all I run #Jortage entirely on my own, and it services millions of requests for 80 instances (and counting). Despite this, it has a great uptime record and I would ask people be patient and understanding when it does go down.

We do not have redundancy because it's not in-budget. (Yes, there is a DR plan, but that's not an instant-failover.)

If you want to change that (and potentially make it viable to bring on another sysadmin) then you should donate to the project.

Today someone asked for help in the soju IRC channel. They posted their configuration file. It was in TOML. soju doesn't use TOML, it uses scfg. I thought they were confused and posted an unrelated configuration file, but it turned out they asked ChatGPT to generate their soju configuration file.

Barbenheimer is this rare, freak marketing thing that happened and Hollywood is gonna chase that high for the next 5 years before realizing they can't replicate it

Rewatching serial experiments lain (1998), and something that strikes me as super relatable is that most of Lain's computer time is split between upgrading her system to be more powerful and checking email/browsing forums.

Truly a prophetic anime

I just crashed Apple Music trying to put the Oppenheimer and Barbie albums into the same playlist 👍

Quite disappointed to learn that Cities Skylines II is again based on 20th century cities. No bicycles nor bicycle lanes, no green / modern city aspects covered and instead focussed on fossil fuel traffic again - meh.

Might as well call it Cities Skylines 2000

it's also weird that windows in game mode still can't be larger than the SD screen or the mouse won't reach every part of them…

you need to modify the game files to get it to go away??? why is there no command line option

lol the Unity startup window is taller than the Steam Deck screen which makes the OK button unclickable, this is the most annoying way a game has been unplayable on the Deck
