for some reason my phone's* touchscreen becomes weird when it's plugged in, like it stops registering swipe gestures properly, scrolling becomes sluggish and typing has what feels like a slight delay to it

ngl UE5 Fortnite with raytracing is really pretty

still looks big in the case, and sadly XFX skimped on the RGB so I can't make it fit into my color scheme but it still works, I think

begpost, please boost

alright so i hate doing this, and i hoped the latest article would naturally result in enough money dripping in (ive so far made like 5 dollars from that, so no), but after moving related extra expenses in the last two months on top of the regular expenses + some other bills i am now almost 3000 usd in debt and out of money, as always im very glad about anything i can get via ko-fi (https://ko-fi.com/nyancrimew) or from merch sales (https://crimew.shop) (attention! production and shipping will always be a bit delayed when im low on money because of how i have to pay for production, so give current merch orders a month or two to ship out), and monthly support via ko-fi obviously helps the most! especially with budgeting and to avoid debt in the future

thanks a lot to anyone who supports me and makes it possible for me to just do my thing and produce free research and content for everyone <3

My game launched today.

store.steampowered.com/app/229

It took a lot of pain to get to this point. My worst fear is that it will be met with a wave of hatred or silence.

Steam's algorithm due to the nature of this game will likely work against it being seen.

Please boost if you can.

oh wow, Chrome's print to pdf is way ahead of Firefox's. I'm sure most people wouldn't even notice the difference (other than FF not making hyperlinks clickable for some reason) but I'm trying to typeset text with CSS and add some fancy effects and Firefox just turns stuff that's too complex into JPEGs, Chrome only renders blur and backgrounds into an image, preserving the crisp text (also FF's JPEGs seem to be slightly misaligned)

hm, is backdrop-filter's blur supposed to fall off towards the edge of the viewport or is this a Firefox bug

aww yeah, I managed to do a sensitive content clickthrough thing purely in CSS on shork.xyz/posts.html

it uses :focus so you can only reveal one at a time but idk, works for now. Maybe I'll have a look if there's a way to do it with <details><summary> or with a checkbox

also it won't work in browsers without backdrop-filter which is a bummer

fuck offfff Microsoft

it shouldn't be legal for an OS to display ads for your shitty addon while I'm using specific software you don't even make

I would like to remind you all I run #Jortage entirely on my own, and it services millions of requests for 80 instances (and counting). Despite this, it has a great uptime record and I would ask people be patient and understanding when it does go down.

We do not have redundancy because it's not in-budget. (Yes, there is a DR plan, but that's not an instant-failover.)

If you want to change that (and potentially make it viable to bring on another sysadmin) then you should donate to the project.
