experience with anti-covid-measures at events (+)
looking for clients, Rust consulting, boosts appreciated
Heya, I've been doing grant work for the past few months but that doesn't pay the bills very well.
So I'm looking for some contract opportunities, preferably places that uses Rust, since that's what I'm most proficient with.
I've worked on a lot of networking projects and I'm comfortable with distributed systems, and concurrent state problems.
My favourite thing to do is greenfield development and building incremental prototypes with a lot of feedback on an evolving specification :)
I'm looking for projects between 1-6 months in length, up to 30h a week. I can be part of your company structure and processes during that time, but for legal reasons I prefer to be independent/ a contractor. If your company is looking for some external help, or is generally hiring at the moment, (or you know another lead, feel free to forward this) you can get in touch here, or e-mail me: kookie@spacekookie.de.
Some more resources about what I do below. Thanks! And as the CW says, boosts highly appreciated!
Cheers ✌️

if you're on an AMD GPU don't activate anti-lag for Counter-Strike, it actually hooks into the games' code and will trigger its anti-cheat 🤦♀️ https://twitter.com/CounterStrike/status/1712875606776729832
Apple engineered a situation in which true browser competition was not allowed on iOS, making Safari's terrible platform the best anyone could get.
Having defanged browser competition, they leveraged Safari to extract monopolistic rents. That it *also* protected the App Store from real competition was a nice-to-have:

PSA for anyone who has a Stadia controller: if you want to prevent it from becoming e-waste, you should update it to Bluetooth mode *now*, even if you don't plan on using it yourself anymore - that way it can be used as a stand-alone controller in the future.
This update is possible until December 31: https://stadia.google.com/controller/index_en_US.html
