oh yeah, I upgraded my VM's style a bit
I should install one of those hacked theming apis and get a pink theme as well
but hey, I guess "magic movie maker" leaves you with a fully editable timeline so if you want you can try and fix the mess it made
the UI is pretty alright, all things considered, it's simple but it kinda has to be considering it's for children
I'm not sure how the "magic movie maker" feature that just mashes short bits of the clips, sound effects and transitions is supposed to create anything but an absolute fever dream but maybe kids enjoy that
Itchio is hosting a Games for Gaza bundle. It's over 250 games, for just $10. All proceeds go to raise funds for the organization Medical Aid For Palestinians:

I kinda wanna figure out running the software before I do a proper writeup on cohost, I know there's a way to use her like a webcam, and considering there's just a generic usb webcam inside I think there's a chance you can just switch her to mjpeg webcam mode
In general I'm pretty impressed with this toy, the camera isn't great but she takes two standard AAAs (they're in the legs lol) and the controls are dead simple. Sturdy build too, obviously still a wild concept for a video camera but not too bad to shoot with in practice (would be nicer if she could stand up on her own but I don't think that's a feature Barbies have). I like the outfit, the oversized hood to hide the monitor while you play is fun
god, it needs .NET 3.5 but for some reason even the "full package" installer tries to download something that doesn't exist
hm nope, even if I tell Defender to leave Windows still refuses to run it 🤷 "an admin blocked execution of this program" buddy I'm the admin
