Learned about @freesewing today, an open-source sewing pattern design program!

There are plenty of designs to choose from, modifiable to your body measurements. You can also code your own patterns!

The documentation seems really good, and the whole project seems wholesome!

Also, there's a shark pattern, with parameters like "hungriness" and "teeth pointyness", and I just love that! :D

Closure of Our Mastodon Instance

Dear friends,

After 8 incredible years of running this Mastodon instance as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, it is with a heavy heart that I announce its closure. Due to rising operational costs and personal life challenges, I am no longer able to sustain it financially, as I’m currently managing significant debts.

This space has meant the world to me. I created it with the hope of giving us a space where we could be ourselves - safely, freely and unapologetically. Maintaining this community has been an honour and I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of it, whether you joined years ago or just recently.

To the admin and moderator team: I wholeheartedly thank you. You’ve been the pillars of this community, especially during times when I wasn’t able to be present.

I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ellie - and to our dearly missed Porsupah - for stepping in when I was struggling with my mental health. Your help in restoring and maintaining the server during that period meant more than I can ever say.

The instance will officially shut down on 15 August 2025. I encourage you to migrate your account to another instance where you feel safe and supported. If you’d like to stay in touch, you can find me at @Self@mastodon.social.

This may be goodbye to the server, but not necessarily to the connections you've built.

hat jemand eine idee wie man ein thinkpad P14s Gen 2 AMD (Type 21A0) wieder zum laufen bekommt, was nach einem botched firmware update (?) komplett tot ist (lade-LED leuchtet nicht, einschalter drücken macht keinen mucks, batterie-reset poken und batterie abklemmen bringt auch nichts)?

(es wurde während normaler nutzung der bildschirm schwarz, hab dann nach einer weile mit powerbutton-longpress resettet, dann kam erst fwupd und dann der lenovo-firmware-update-screen, und jetzt gehts nicht mehr)
