whatever else it might be or have done, witches.town was a huge pioneer in early-modern mastodon culture and its timed registration openings and various customizations were really special and i think helped push the envelope of what an instance could be
there were witches on mastodon before w.t, but nobody ever thought of mastodon as a software of witches the way they do now

when trying to run TR5 on my Windows ME computer, I rediscovered that the version of TR5 I have includes a pdf of the guidebook, which is really good! (hmu if you want the file, it's sadly only in German tho)
I definitely played TR5 on this computer so this is weiiiiird
it also only runs at all if I disable the sound driver, okay, maybe I should actually install one
